Bal Vatika

Bal Vatika programme is designed as a preparatory class for children before Grade 1 with a focus on developing cognitive, affective and psychomotor abilities through learning by fun classes. Bal Vatika is not being functional in the school in the current session. As part of the visionary National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) in the Kolkata Region has introduced an innovative early childhood education initiative known as “Bal Vatika.” This program, designed to align with the principles of the NEP, focuses on nurturing the holistic development of young learners, laying the foundation for a lifetime of curiosity and knowledge.

Bal Vatika is an early childhood education initiative that goes beyond traditional classroom settings to create an enriching environment for children aged 3 to 6 years. Emphasizing play-based learning, the program aims to foster cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in the crucial early years of a child’s life.
